IsatData Pro IDP 782

Dual-Mode or Cellular Vehicle Tracking and Driver Monitoring
Vehicle telematics for fleet management applications, using cellular or cellular-satellite
communications

idp782_ant.jpg
Overview

The feature-rich, fully programmable IDP 782 delivers connectivity to assets in fleet management applications both in and out of cellular range. The IDP 782 is available as cellular-only or as an integrated, dual-mode cellular-satellite device.

For dual-mode applications, fleet managers get the best of both worlds lower cost cellular coverage and reliable, always-on satellite communications over the two-way IsatData Pro satellite data service anytime the cellular network is unavailable all from EX4U Telecom, your single source provider.

The IDP 782 features a flexible architecture that supports the development of custom applications for more complex solutions, and the use of configurable software applications for quicker deployments.

The IDP 782 is ideal to use for vehicle monitoring offering complete visibility of transport vehicles moving in and out of cellular coverage, vehicle telematics and reports for security, tracking, geofencing, driver identification and accelerometer, to the Online Tracking Platform. The IDP 782 also facilitates driver communications enabling two-way text messaging, e-forms, stop management and emergency voice, monitoring of driver behaviour, fuel efficiency, safety and vehicle operation/maintenance

Other uses include vessel monitoring in the leveraging of lower cost cellular for near-shore communications, and satellite for guaranteed/backup offshore communications. Use the IDP 782 dual mode satellite-cellular connectivity in oil and gas applications to track utility vehicles travelling in and out of remote areas or as a backup for fixed equipment. The IDP 782 also allows for remote SCADA monitoring and control.

An optional dust and splash cover accessory wraps around the terminal and achieves IP65 (ingress protection) rating when mounted to a rigid surface. This accessory increases market reach to coastal applications.

Backup Battery
With the optional IDP 782 backup battery, the terminal will continue reporting over satellite or cellular networks when the main power source is interrupted or compromised for anywhere from 12 hours to several days depending on conditions. For security, this means programming the terminal to automatically send more frequent position reports to improve driver safety, minimize vehicle theft and enable recovery.

Emergency Voice
In cases of emergency, the IDP 782 now supports a two-way voice call (to one of two preprogrammed phone numbers) using an external input such as a panic button. This requires the integration of a microphone and a speaker to the terminal. For security applications and hijacking situations, the IDP 782 allows silent calls, where dispatch is able to hear inside the vehicle's cabin.

Key Features
  • Support for applications, Supports IDP LSF, and custom Lua scripting
