Based on 3G standards, FleetBroadband provides seamless broadband connection. You can access email, surf the web and run operational systems remotely at the same time as making phone calls.

High performance in a compact format

FleetBroadband terminals will use two kinds of stabilized, directional antennas. The above deck antennas are smaller than existing Fleet products used today and offer many more capabilities.

FleetBroadband  Multi-voice  Service:   Originally, you could only make one call at a time on FleetBroadband. However, with the new Inmarsat FleetBroadband Multi-voice Service you can now get up to nine simultaneous voice lines all with their own number (+870), on a single FleetBroadband terminal.  
   
  505 (SOS) Emergency Calling on FleetBroadband
 

The short code 505 has been created due to its resemblance to the word SOS.

Simply dial 505 on the FleetBroadband phone handset and the call will be directly routed to nearest Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centres (MRCC) free of charge. The MRCCs provides assistance and advice to ships in distress, are multilingual and open 24/7, 365 days a year.

Enhanced SQT  Everyday low-cost calling

It is now easier and less expensive for crew to keep in touch with friends and family. With Enhanced Super Quiet Time (ESQT) for FleetBroadband, seafarers no longer have to wait for off-peak hours or promotional periods to make lower-priced calls. ESQT offers one low rate for prepay calls any time of day or year.

      Super Quiet Time (SQT)
     

    Super Quiet Time (SQT) enables seafarers to call home at special low rates during off-peak periods throughout the week and all weekend using prepay cards.

    Standard Super Quiet Time hours

    Normal SQT hours are 18:00 to 06.00 hours GMT from Monday to Friday. On weekends, SQT is available 24 hours a day. The weekend period runs from 18.00 GMT Friday to 06.00 Monday.


    In addition, Inmarsat also offers special promotions during holiday periods or religious festivals, where SQT is available 24 hours a day for a specified number of days. For your promotion plan contact us here.
